Horst Antes (born June 28, 1936 in Heppenheim) is a German painter, sculptor and graphic artist. Antes lives and works in Karlsruhe and occasionally in Berlin and Castellina (Italy).

Antes studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe under HAP Grieshaber, and later held various professorships and guest professorships himself. He has won numerous awards for his work. Antes has participated in the Documenta several times. A central motif of Antes is the cephalopod or heads in general.
